Title: Administrative Assistant (Temp)

(Kanagawa Department)

Wage: $24.50/hour

Work Hours: 9:00-17:00 (Lunch12:00-13:00)

Work Style: Office 3 days at office, 2 days work from home

Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities:

・Support activities related to promoting inbound investment from North America and tourism to Kanagawa Prefecture, as well as assisting Kanagawa-based companies in expanding their business in North America, and sister-state initiatives.

・Conduct research support, including collecting and organizing data via web-based sources.

・Assist in organizing and managing investment and tourism-related events for U.S. audiences.

・Communicate with government agencies, industry organizations, and U.S. companies via email and phone.

・Process financial transactions, including preparing vouchers and handling contracts and payments using internal accounting systems.

・Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls and arranging document shipments.

Requirements:

・Business-level English proficiency with the ability to negotiate and coordinate effectively with U.S. stakeholders.

・Ability to understand Japanese regulations and procedures and handle administrative tasks related to contracts and payments.

・Experience using MS Word and Excel in a professional setting.

・Willingness to travel within the United States as needed.
