Job Title: Service Engineer – Marine Diesel Engine

Location: Jericho, NY (Onsite)

Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (Depending on Experience)

Travel: Approximately once every two months

A Japanese company specializing in marine diesel engine solutions is seeking a Service Engineer to join its U.S. operations. This is a hands-on, technically focused role that supports both shipboard operations and customer technical services from the office.

The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of engineering experience with Marine Engines and a strong commitment to problem-solving and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Onboard / Shipyard Duties:

• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on marine diesel engines
• Supervise scheduled (periodical) maintenance activities
• Oversee modification and parts replacement work
• Conduct commissioning of engines at shipyards

Office-Based Duties:

• Provide technical support and advice to customers
• Coordinate engineer dispatch requests to service distributors, the head office, or overseas subsidiaries

Qualifications:

• Experience in service engineering for marine diesel engines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering or a related field (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed
