Position Summary
Seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong PLC expertise and bilingual Japanese/English capability to support industrial automation systems. This role involves design, programming, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with Japanese-speaking stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of automation equipment
- Collaborate with Japanese-speaking teams to translate technical requirements and documentation
- Perform system testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and customers
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Japanese language proficiency (business level or higher, strong reading and writing required)
- English proficiency (written and spoken)
Preferred:
- Experience with robotics or factory automation systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
- Experience in manufacturing environments, especially with Japanese organizations
- Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
