A well-established Japanese company is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Accounting Staff to join its U.S. team in New Jersey. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations and work closely with the Accounting & Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R), including invoice issuance, deposit tracking, reconciliation with financial statements, and follow-up on overdue accounts
Process insurance compensation for cargo damage and calculate disposal fees for invoicing
Support development of the annual sales budget using reports from sales managers
Prepare quarterly and annual intercompany reconciliations and related reports
Maintain and update the general ledger and sales journals
Process accounting receivables and incoming payments
Prepare, review, and verify invoices prior to customer distribution
Input Accounts Payable (A/P) logistics fee data into internal systems
Prepare factoring application documents and confirm invoice receipt
Create monthly order, sales, and production cost reports
Organize and maintain accounting documentation (A/P and A/R)
Support semi-annual and year-end financial audits
Process wire transfers following approval from senior accounting leadership
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and comply with internal controls
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Communicate with the parent company regarding invoices and coordinate with internal teams
Oversee warehouse inventory records and track inventory changes
Support year-end inventory reconciliation
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of accounting experience
Fluent Japanese language skills (speaking, reading, and writing required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a bilingual, cross-cultural environment
