Position Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our client (<\/span>A Japanese machinery manufacturer in Grove Village IL<\/span>) is seeking a motivated Machine Tool Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on the Midwest region. This role offers opportunities for both experienced professionals who can contribute immediately and entry-level candidates with a solid foundation in machine tools and strong motivation to grow in sales.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Promote and sell machine tools (e.g., horizontal boring mills, large\/small lathes, grinding machines)<\/li>\n
  • Manage existing accounts while developing new customer relationships (99% non-Japanese clients)<\/li>\n
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and provide tailored product proposals and quotations<\/li>\n
  • Travel to visit clients (1\u20132 times per month, typically one week per trip)<\/li>\n
  • Report directly to the General Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Required<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Basic knowledge of machine tools<\/li>\n
    • Strong persistence and enthusiasm in customer engagement<\/li>\n
    • Ability to conduct business in English (Japanese proficiency not mandatory but an advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Previous experience in a machine tool manufacturer<\/li>\n
      • Experience in trading companies handling machine tools<\/li>\n
      • Sales or distribution experience in horizontal boring mills, lathes, or grinding machines<\/li>\n
      • Ability to work as an immediate contributor in sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
