Job Description: Import\/Export Agent (Air & Ocean Import)- Japanese Bilingual<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Location:<\/strong> Atlanta, GA<\/p>\n

Position Type:<\/strong> Full-time (hourly)<\/p>\n

Pay Range:<\/strong> $25\u2013$27\/hour<\/strong> (depending on experience)<\/p>\n

Title:<\/strong> Import\/Export Agent \/ Import\/Export Associate<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We are currently seeking an experienced Import\/Export Associate<\/strong> (Import\/Export Agent) in the New York area<\/strong>. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Air Import and Ocean Import operations<\/strong>, along with the ability to communicate effectively in Japanese<\/strong> and familiarity with workflows at a Japanese freight forwarder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Manage end-to-end Air Import and Ocean Import<\/strong> shipments, ensuring smooth and timely processing<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and review import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and delivery orders<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate shipment schedules and delivery arrangements with airlines, ocean carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. customs regulations and internal SOPs<\/li>\n
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve any delays, discrepancies, or documentation issues<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with internal teams, overseas offices\/agents, and customers (including Japanese-speaking clients)<\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update operational systems accordingly<\/li>\n
  • Provide high-level customer service and support related to import\/export operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Strong ability to independently handle Air Import and Ocean Import<\/strong> operations at an advanced level<\/li>\n
    • Japanese language proficiency<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Prior experience working for a freight forwarder<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Solid understanding of import documentation and logistics operations<\/li>\n
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously<\/li>\n
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Experience supporting both import and export operations (in addition to imports)<\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with major forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise or similar)<\/li>\n
      • Customer-facing experience with Japanese corporate clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
