Position Overview<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who\u2019s strongest where it matters most:\u00a0building clean, reliable APIs and working comfortably in relational databases<\/strong>. You\u2019ll own backend services that support core operations\u2014inventory, logistics, pricing, and internal tooling\u2014so the work you ship will be used every day, not someday<\/p>\n

Senior_Software_Engineer.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll also collaborate with a global engineering group across the U.S. and Japan, helping improve how systems are designed, delivered, and maintained.<\/p>\n

\n<\/hr>\n

What You\u2019ll Do (Core Focus)<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • API & Backend Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and\u00a0REST\/HTTP APIs<\/strong>\u00a0using Python, Go, or TypeScript<\/li>\n
  • Improve service architecture for scalability, reliability, and maintainability<\/li>\n
  • Write clear, testable code that supports business-critical workflows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Relational Database Design & Ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance using\u00a0PostgreSQL \/ CloudSQL<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Ensure data integrity, maintainability, and clean integration between services and data<\/li>\n
    • Support reporting and data integration needs (including BigQuery touchpoints when relevant)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n<\/hr>\n

      Additional Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Support production systems (debugging, incident response, root cause analysis)<\/li>\n
      • Contribute to CI\/CD and infrastructure improvements (Terraform, GitHub Actions, cloud ops)<\/li>\n
      • Improve monitoring\/observability and operational automation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n<\/hr>\n

        What We\u2019re Looking For<\/h3>\n

        Must-Haves<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • 3+ years of professional software development experience<\/li>\n
        • Strong experience designing and building\u00a0APIs<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Strong experience with\u00a0relational databases<\/strong>\u00a0(PostgreSQL preferred)<\/li>\n
        • Comfortable working with Git and team-based development workflows<\/li>\n
        • Business-level English<\/li>\n
        • Able to commute to the Long Island office as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Cloud experience (GCP or AWS)<\/li>\n
          • Terraform, CI\/CD, Docker\/containers<\/li>\n
          • Experience supporting production systems<\/li>\n
          • Business-level Japanese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
