Field Application Engineer <\/strong><\/p>\n

Location: Cupertino, CA<\/p>\n

Salary: Base $86,000 (exempt) + Incentive<\/p>\n

Incentive: about 35% (about 30K) depending on sales achievement & individual goals, if company makes profit<\/p>\n

Work hours: M- F 8:30-17:00 (Overtime will be expected)<\/p>\n

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our client company is seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our strategic partnership with their major customer "X" This role will serve as the dedicated technical liaison between the customer 's engineering teams and our internal product development, ensuring the successful integration of their connector and interconnect solutions into the customer's products. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required to effectively support collaboration with the customer's teams and their Japan-based manufacturing and engineering partners.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Act as the primary technical interface for the customer, building and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's engineering and program teams.<\/li>\n
  2. Provide connector selection, design-in, and application engineering support tailored to the customer's requirements.<\/li>\n
  3. Lead design-win activities by ensuring compliance with the customer's electrical, mechanical, thermal, and reliability standards.<\/li>\n
  4. Collaborate with the customer and internal engineering teams on prototype builds, qualification, and mass production readiness.<\/li>\n
  5. Address technical challenges related to signal integrity, EMI\/EMC, durability, and manufacturability.<\/li>\n
  6. Deliver technical presentations, documentation, and performance reports in line with the customer's review processes.<\/li>\n
  7. Proactively identify and mitigate risks in design and production phases.<\/li>\n
  8. Communicate customer insights, requirements, and roadmaps to internal product management and R&D teams.<\/li>\n
  9. Support on-site and virtual design reviews, audits, and issue resolution activities.<\/li>\n
  10. Travel as required to the customer's offices, contract manufacturers, and global company sites.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    7. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\n
    8. Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (verbal and written)<\/strong> to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Education: Bachelor\u2019s Degree (Engineering, Industrial Distribution preferred) or equivalent technical experience<\/li>\n
      • Experience: Solutions based background in working with customers in developing long-term customer relationships and partnerships. Proven experience in technical sales or a related field.<\/li>\n
