Position Overview<\/strong><\/h1>\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant \u2013 Accounts Payable<\/strong> to support our accounting team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role will primarily be responsible for processing expense invoices, expense reimbursement, and maintaining accurate accounting records related to fixed assets and prepaid expenses.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and strong organizational skills.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h1>\n
    \n
  • Process and record vendor expense invoices in the accounting system<\/li>\n
  • Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate documentation<\/li>\n
  • Ensure invoices are coded correctly to the appropriate general ledger accounts<\/li>\n
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions and disposals<\/li>\n
  • Track and manage prepaid expenses and prepare related amortization schedules<\/li>\n
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses<\/li>\n
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding invoice approvals and coding questions<\/li>\n
  • Prepare the general ledger and post journal entries related to Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, and Employee Reimbursement activities<\/li>\n
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to solve issues<\/li>\n
  • Process check payments<\/li>\n
  • Maintain financial files and documentation in an organized manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required<\/li>\n
    • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP<\/li>\n
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data<\/li>\n
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal<\/li>\n
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
