Staff Accountant<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Location:<\/strong> Torrance<\/p>\n

Salary Range:<\/strong> $60,000 – $75,000 (depending on skills and experience)<\/p>\n

Work Schedule:<\/strong> 8:30 AM \u2013 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)<\/p>\n

Commute: <\/strong>Hybrid (Onsite 2 days a week. Temporarily 4 days a week during probational period)<\/span><\/p>\n

Our client, a mid-sized accounting firm offering a hybrid work environment and exposure to a wide range of accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial reporting, attestation, and tax.<\/p>\n

The role supports multiple client engagements simultaneously, making it ideal for candidates looking to develop well-rounded accounting skills in a client-facing environment. The firm emphasizes professional growth and offers potential visa support in accordance with internal policies.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Perform data entry, AR\/AP processing (invoicing, payments, collections)<\/li>\n
  • Handle expense reimbursements, check runs, and journal entries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Closing & Financial Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Support monthly and year-end closing (journal entries, bank reconciliations, subledgers)<\/li>\n
    • Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) and client-specific reports<\/li>\n
    • Assist in preparing reporting packages for headquarters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Client & Audit Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Assist clients with audit requests from external auditors<\/li>\n
      • Manage multiple client engagements and maintain communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Tax & Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Prepare and process miscellaneous tax filings (sales & use tax, property tax, informational returns)<\/li>\n
        • Support individual and corporate tax return preparation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Attestation Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Perform financial statement reviews and compilations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            <\/p>\n

            Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
              \n
            • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, attestation, or tax (corporate\/individual)<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Public accounting experience (CPA firm or outsourcing firm) is a strong plus<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Accounting degree preferred<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is a strong plus<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Strong communication and project management skills<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage, or ERP systems<\/strong> preferred<\/li>\n
            • Japanese language skills are a plus but not required\u00a0<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
