Position Summary
Customer service–focused role supporting silica/chromatography business. Primary responsibility is customer support; includes light sales administration. Not quota-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, orders, shipping, documentation, and general technical information
- Accurately process requests and coordinate with internal/global teams
- Communicate technical/scientific information clearly to customers
- Coordinate with Technical Service, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain
- Process purchase orders, track shipments, manage records, and understand commercial terms
- Support onboarding, NDAs, and documentation requests
- Provide internal updates on customer needs
- Support sales administration (quotes, RFQs, records, follow-ups)
- Gather customer feedback and market information
- Support pricing discussions as needed (not primary negotiator)
- Attend industry events as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong customer communication and documentation skills
- Service-oriented, detail-focused, able to manage multiple requests
- Ability to understand and explain industry specific technical/scientific information clearly
- Willingness to travel as needed; ~20% avg., up to ~50% during peak periods. During slow season, travel is minimal.
Preferred:
- Exposure to scientific products or pharmaceutical/life-science customers
