Title: Inside Sales Manager/Office Manager

Industry: Manufacturing (automotive)

Location: Remote (commute to the office in Troy, MI every other week for mail checks, etc.)

Salary: $55K~$60K (DOE)

Lanugage: Japanese and English

You will be the only staff in the USA, the others are in Japan.

[Responsibilities]

  • Shipping Operations:
    • Prepare invoices for orders from customers, send shipment documents to warehousing companies, and manage the results of shipments and inventory status.
  • Program Support:
    • For new start-up model projects, confirm required specifications and designs, and collaborate with the design team at the parent company in Japan to create competitive proposals. Primarily supports communication between customer engineers and design teams. 
  • Sales Management:
    • Establish sales targets and manage progress based on customer production information, and shipment/inventory status. Collaborate with the sales team in Japan to ensure shipments to customers and create production requests for appropriate timing and quantity. Propose and promote continuous improvements to the production, export, storage and sales processes.
  • Market Complaint Response:
    • Receive complaint parts found in market from our customers, send them to the parent company in Japan, and respond to analytical reports from Japan to the customers.
  • Invoice/Payment Processing:
    • Invoice and payment processing for customers and suppliers.
  • Company Management:
    • Compliance with operating, financial and legal policies and procedures. Maintain and improve office facilities to enable efficient operations. 

[Requirements]

  • Experience: Experience with the above operations or similar.
  • Experience with the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Technical skills: Experience with portal sites(customer’s web system) and MS-Office(Excel/Word/ PowerPoint)
  • Language Capability: English (native speaker level), Japanese (basic level and up) Preferred:
  • A deep understanding of the sales management process
  • Excellent personal relationships and good communication with the parent company
  • Office management, profit and loss management, billing/payment processing, etc.
